The French watchmaker YEMA continues their hot streak and joins forces with the French Air Force to deliver new additions to their Flygraf collection. The new YEMA collection introduces three Flygraf Flieger FAF watches featuring the In-House Caliber YEMA2000, along with two Flygraf Bi-Compax FAF watches equipped with the hybrid caliber SEIKO VK61.

The YEMA Flygraf FAF embodies a military-inspired design with its 40mm case crafted from Grade 2 titanium, providing enhanced shock resistance over traditional steel. Its satin matte finish contributes to its overall military aesthetic. The Flieger military dial ensures easy readability with features like a triangular marker at 12 o’clock, a 60-unit track around the periphery, and luminescent center hands painted with Grade A Super-LumiNova. Additionally, a discreet date window seamlessly integrates at 6 o’clock.

Functionality is further enhanced by the inclusion of a slightly oversized crown, facilitating easy manipulation even with gloves on, a feature essential for fighter pilots. A high-quality 2.00 mm double-dome sapphire crystal enhances readability, and durability, and provides a vintage appearance. The stainless steel caseback proudly displays the emblem of the French Air Force, adding an authentic touch to the watch's military theme. Grade A Super-LumiNova BGW9 is applied to the hands, hour indexes, and the triangular marker at 12 o’clock, ensuring excellent visibility in low-light conditions.

Powering the timepiece is the YEMA2000 In-House Caliber, offering slightly improved performance over standard grade calibers, with a Daily Rate of +/- 10 s/d and a power reserve of 42 hours. Additionally, the canvas strap for the military timepiece, manufactured in the Franche-Comté region, is specially designed to offer enhanced comfort. It features a leather coating underside with the French Air Force logo, adding to its distinctive appeal.

Flygraf Bi-Compax FAF

The VK61 MECA-QUARTZ caliber by Seiko combines quartz precision with mechanical chronograph functionality. Powered by a quartz heart, the time functions operate seamlessly, while the mechanical module controls the chronograph, allowing the central chrono hand to sweep fluidly. Sub-registers at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock track the chronograph's 60-minute timer and serve as a small seconds hand respectively.

A distinctive feature of the watch is its slightly oversized crown, facilitating easy manipulation even when wearing gloves, ideal for fighter pilots. The 40mm case, crown, and pushers are finished in a matte satin texture, with the French Air Force logo elegantly embossed in a glossy finish on the crown. Completing the design, the 316L stainless steel caseback proudly displays the French Air Force logo, adding to the watch's aesthetic appeal.

The French Air Force canvas strap, crafted in the Franche-Comté region, is tailored specifically for this military timepiece. This fabric strap incorporates a unique feature with the French Air Force logo discreetly embedded on its leather-coated underside, offering an elevated level of comfort during wear.
