Formex x Scottish Watches Essense Skye

For the first time on Balance & Bridge, we are excited to cover the release of a favorite in the watch space. Formex has long been acknowledged as one of the premier watchmakers in the independent/microbrand space and their watches are a testament to the exact reasons we love watches. Formex has been pushing the boundaries of watchmaking with its innovation and engineering prowess. You don't have to look any further than their case suspension system and bezel swapping system to see what we mean. We look forward to covering them more in the future and adding more pieces to our recommendation guides as well. As we get into the new Essence release, learn about their Reef series here.

A Celestial Tribute to the Isle of Skye

Inspired by the starry nights and northern lights of Scotland’s Isle of Skye, the aventurine glass dial sparkles with luminous drops that glow under UV light. The indices feature green lume from 10 to 2 and blue lume from 3 to 9, capturing the essence of these natural phenomena. By day, the dial shimmers with a blend of glass colors and copper shavings, showcasing Formex's exquisite craftsmanship.
